Kentucky MBB's new intro video will give you goosebumps
The Kentucky video department does not put out bad content. We know this. We’ve always known this. Every year, the Wildcats find ways to one-up themselves with new hype videos and player intros, combining legends of past and present, UK great after UK great.
This one, however, is the best. I enjoy all of them, but this year’s Kentucky men’s basketball intro is one that hits you right in the feels, executed better than any I can personally recall.
It starts with a room of Kentucky basketball history, memorabilia ranging from Oscar Tshiebwe’s National Player of the Year campaign to Anthony Davis’ iconic wingspan photo to John Wall’s “The Great Wall” Sports Illustrated cover to a 2012 confetti celebration photo to classic Herald-Leader championship headlines to Mark Pope’s introductory press conference as head coach — the list goes on and on. The newest Wildcats go up to the wall and soak in every item, putting their hands on the program’s best moments before their own journeys begin (or continue).
Highlights of Kentucky’s best players making their best plays take over with a cover of U2’s I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For in the background, finished with the new group preparing to leave their own respective marks — and join those highlights in the very, very near future.

It’s hard to put it all into words, so I won’t try to add more. Just watch it and enjoy this masterpiece from the UK video team.
And the TV version:
Otega Oweh taking in Oscar Tshiebwe’s NPOY poster was not by accident — nor is it one that they chose No. 00 to anchor the video. Kentucky has its star and leader with plenty of talent around him.
And it’s clear they all understand the assignment.
