Tomorrow night, Kentucky opens SEC play vs. Missouri in Columbia. Even though the Tigers are 11-1 and coming off a 22-point win over then-No. 16 Illinois, the Cats opened as a small favorite. The line is out on DraftKings and it’s Kentucky -2.5, with the total set at 153.5 points.

Betting against the Cats has been the smart move this season. Kentucky is 8-3 on the season and 4-7 against the spread, only covering against Howard (-25), Duquesne (-19.5), South Carolina State (-40), and North Florida (-27.5). Missouri is 11-1 on the season and 7-5 against the spread. The Tigers have been the underdog three times and covered in two of those games (Central Florida and Illinois).

Currently, KenPom predicts a 79-76 Kentucky win, giving the Cats a 60% chance of victory. ESPN’s matchup predictor goes slightly higher, at 65.6% Kentucky. Sagarin Predictor favors the Cats by 2.5.

As always, gamble responsibly, and not in the state of Kentucky because it’s still illegal.
