Kentucky's NCAA Tournament run will get CBS' March Madness Confidential treatment

We’re going to get a behind-the-scenes look at the first NCAA Tournament run of the Mark Pope era at Kentucky. Kentucky is one of six programs CBS chose to feature in its “March Madness Confidential” series, along with Auburn, Michigan State, Texas Tech, Clemson, and UConn.
A CBS production crew arrived in Lexington yesterday to capture Kentucky’s reaction to its draw on Selection Sunday. The crew will be embedded with the Cats throughout their run, providing exclusive, behind-the-scenes content that CBS will use in its studio coverage across TBS, CBS, TNT, and truTV — with online distribution via the official @MarchMadnessMBB X and Facebook pages, @MM_MBB_TV, NCAA.com and TNT Sports and CBS Sports social media accounts.

You may recall that Kentucky was featured in the March Madness Confidential series in 2022. I’m sure you recall that the Cats’ run ended abruptly in the first round that year with a loss to St. Peter’s. Here’s the first clip from the series that year, Selection Sunday at John Calipari’s house.
Kentucky doesn’t have a great track record with behind-the-scenes documentaries. After Kentucky’s national championship in 2012, ESPN’s All-Access series followed the 2012-13 Cats, who ended up going to the NIT. There was a documentary crew following Kentucky during Oscar Tshiebwe’s seasons, all of the footage of which ended up on the cutting room floor after the Cats’ early exits. On the football side of things, Kentucky was one of the teams Netflix followed for its new docuseries on SEC football and crews were in town for the losses to South Carolina and Louisville. That premieres this summer.
If anyone can reverse Kentucky’s behind-the-scenes jinx, it’s Mark Pope, right?
