Kentucky WBB not projected to host again in first ESPN Bracketology for 2025-26

Kenny Brooks led Kentucky to a very successful year in his first season in Lexington. The Cats claimed a 4-seed heading into the NCAA Tournament, meaning that they got to host the first two rounds in Historic Memorial Coliseum. However, ESPN’s Charlie Creme isn’t very sure that Kentucky will have that same level of success this season.
In the first Bracketology for the 2025-26 season, Kentucky came in as a 7-seed in the Fort Worth region.

In this projected field, Kentucky’s first two rounds would be played in Cameron Indoor Stadium with No. 2 Duke hosting. 10-seed Marquette, who went 21-11 and lost in the second round of the WBIT last season, is the draw for the first round.

The other 7-seeds are TCU, Ohio State and Princeton. TCU was a 2-seed this past season as Mark Campbell led them to a 34-4 record en route to the best season in school history. So, it isn’t just Kentucky that’s projected to take a bit of a slide.
Time for Kenny to go prove ’em wrong, again.
