Kentucky Basketball recruiting truly never stops. This afternoon, John Calipari extended a scholarship offer to 2021 five-star combo guard Jaden Hardy from Henderson, Nevada (Coronado).

According to Jake Weingarten, Calipari watched Hardy play last week. The 6’4″ 185 lbs. guard also has offers from Alabama, Arizona, Georgetown, LSU, Missouri, Memphis, Oklahoma, USC, and UCLA. 247 Sports National Recruiting Analyst Josh Gershon evaluated him in March and liked what he saw.

Very good size for combo guard with long arms and plus athleticism. Impressive projectable frame with plenty of room to gain strength. Extremely versatile playmaker who can create for teammates or himself. Relatively efficient scorer from all three levels. Impressive ball skills and vision. Has size, length and lateral quickness to guard both one and two. Has been on consistent upward trajectory since arriving in high school. Can still improve jumper and scoring package. Will need to improve assist/turnover ratio to hit upside as a primary ball-handler. Easy elite prospect at this stage who currently projects as first round pick with lottery upside if he continues on same path.

Hardy is the fifth player in the 2021 class to receive an offer from Kentucky:

  • Devin Askew, PG
  • Patrick Baldwin, F
  • Paolo Banchero, PF
  • Jaden Hardy, CG
  • Jonathan Kuminga, SF

Watch him work.
