Lane Kiffin is now in year six at Ole Miss but his overall philosophy has not changed. The Rebels play an aggressive brand of football by hunting for explosive plays on offense and havoc plays on defense. This team hits the tempo gas pedal as much as anyone in college football. That presents plenty of challenges.

Kentucky defensive coordinator Brad White will face this offense for the fourth time in six years on Saturday afternoon at Kroger Field. The Cats know how big of a challenge is.

“We understand what they can do,” White said. “I think when we played them last year through four or five games they were at 650 (yards per game). So they’re averaging 45 more now.”

Ole Miss rolled up 695 yards on 81 plays in a 63-7 Week 1 win over Georgia State. Tempo is coming to Lexington. A heavy diet of RPOs will be me on the menu. Kentucky must get their cleats in the turf, read the call from the sideline, and go make some stops. The Cats have had a lot of success against the Rebels in the most two recent meetings. This defense will need another strong performance to give the home underdog a legitimate chance to win.

White, linebacker Alex Afari Jr., outside linebacker Steven Soles Jr., defensive tackle David Gusta, and cornerback JQ Hardaway all spoke with the media on Wednesday to recap the Toledo win and discuss the Ole Miss challenge.
