Kentucky opens as two-score underdog vs. Ole Miss

Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels head to Lexington with revenge in mind against the Kentucky Wildcats. They’ll do so as two-score favorites.

Coming off a 24-16 win for the Cats over Toledo and the No. 21 Rebels beating Georgia State 63-7, it’ll be the latter entering the matchup as 9.5-point favorites, according to our friends at BetMGM.

The point total has been set at 52.5.

83 percent of the early bets are on the Rebels as both teams look for their first SEC win of the 2025 season.

As you may recall, the 20-17 victory for Kentucky over No. 6 Ole Miss last season was the team’s lone conference win of the season. The Wildcats earned 336 total yards while dominating the time of possession 39:43 to 20:17, winning the turnover battle and holding the Rebels to a 1-10 finish on third down to leave Oxford with the upset.

“Beyond disappointing. It’s a disappointing day,” Kiffin said after the loss. “The game comes down at the end with us having a chance to win in every phase and we didn’t do it. Got to give credit to Stoops.”

“It was our kind of game. A dirty, ugly, hard-fought game,” Mark Stoops added. “We went out and did what we had to do. We played our way. I know it’s only one game, but it was a very important game for us. Obviously, I could not be more proud of this team.”
