Basketball is here, folks. In fact, you will get to see the Kentucky Wildcats in action for the very first time ahead of Mark Pope‘s second season in Lexington just 11 days from now as Pro Day returns to Historic Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday, October 7.

Now in its 11th season and counting, Kentucky’s Pro Day event featuring scouts and team personnel from all 30 NBA teams will be streamed live on SEC Network+ starting at 5:30 PM ET with Dick Gabriel and 1978 National Champion Jack “Goose” Givens on the call.

Pope’s first team at UK produced two draft picks with Koby Brea (Suns, No. 41) and Amari Williams (Celtics, No. 46) selected in the 2025 NBA Draft while Lamont Butler (Hawks), Andrew Carr (Trail Blazers) and Jaxson Robinson (Cavaliers) all signed with teams as undrafted free agents.

What does 2026 have in store? Kentucky added likely lottery pick Jayden Quaintance from Arizona State while Pittsburgh transfer Jaland Lowe, Tulane transfer Kam Williams, Florida transfer Denzel Aberdeen, Alabama transfer Mouhamed Dioubate and Miami (OH) transfer Reece Potter, returning pieces Otega Oweh, Collin Chandler, Brandon Garrison and Trent Noah and incoming freshmen Jasper Johnson, Malachi Moreno, Andrija Jelavic and Braydon Hawthorne are all names for scouts to keep an eye on either now or down the road.

Big Blue Madness is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11 inside Rupp Arena at 6 PM, live on SEC Network+, followed by the annual Blue-White preseason scrimmage inside Historic Memorial Coliseum on Friday, Oct. 17. A start time and ticket information for the latter will be announced at a later date. SEC Basketball Media Days will split those events on Oct. 14 and 15 in Birmingham.

From there, Kentucky will take on Purdue on Friday, Oct. 24 and Georgetown on Thursday, Oct. 30 to wrap up the exhibition schedule, followed by the season opener vs. Nicholls on Tuesday, November 4 — all inside Rupp Arena.

Let the countdown begin with the first official event of the 2025-26 Kentucky basketball season on the schedule.
