It’s still a quiet recruiting period, but Kentucky could be making some noise in the near future. Running back Isaiah West revealed he will announce his college decision Friday night at 7 pm EST.

West is a three-star prospect who is featured in the ESPN 300 for the 2025 recruiting class. Ranked as the No. 28 running back in his class, according to On3, West attends St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. It’s the same school that produced David Washington Jr., a wide receiver who signed with the Wildcats in December.

West will be choosing between Kentucky, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and North Carolina. He visited Kentucky for Junior Day and spent an extensive amount of time with Jay Boulware. The Kentucky running back coach’s experience stood out during his trip to Lexington.

“He spent some time over at Oklahoma and coached a lot of great backs like Joe Mixon. He went over to the Steelers and got to be around some backs like Najee Harris,” West told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+.

“He’s got an experienced, really good resume and I feel like he could take me to the next level. I like the overall makeup of how they carry themselves at Kentucky.”

Earlier this week Boulware shared a Tweet teasing some good news for the Big Blue Nation. Could it be a commitment from West? We’ll find out Friday night.
