Kentucky Reaches Out to 2027 4-Star PF Dawson Battie

More new names are emerging for Kentucky in the 2027 class. The latest is four-star forward Dawson Battie.
Battie, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound power forward from Saint Mark’s (Dallas, TX), told KSR+ that Kentucky assistant coach Mikhail McLean reached out at the start of the contact period. UK has not offered yet.
College coaches began reaching out directly to 2027 recruits at midnight on June 15. KSR+ is keeping a full list of Kentucky’s contacts on the KSBoard.
Battie already holds offers from the likes of Texas Tech, TCU, Cal-Berkley, SMU, and Oklahoma State, among others. He’s taken a visit to SMU.

He has also heard from Texas, Oklahoma, and Wichita State. Battie’s older brother, Dillon Battie, recently transferred to Wichita State.

Four-star forward Dawson Battie of Dallas (TX) St. Mark’s is the nation’s No. 21 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Battie as the No. 33 player overall, the No. 6-ranked power forward, and the overall best player from Delaware.
