Kentucky Reaches Out to 2027 No. 1-Ranked Tight End
Kentucky is going after some big fish in the 2027 class. With head coach Will Stein and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan in the fold, the Cats are starting to push for the nation’s top tight end.
Ahmad Hudson, the No. 1-ranked tight ned in the 2027 class, tells KSR+ that he received a call from Sloan on Friday. Sloan was previously in contact with Hudson during his time at LSU, making a strong push for the Tigers before being hired as a part of Will Stein’s staff this winter.
Hudson was in contact with the Kentucky basketball staff in the summer, led by associate head coach Alvin Brooks. He hasn’t been in contact with the UK baskebtall staff recently.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound prospect out of Ruston (Ruston, LA) currently holds offers from the likes of LSU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Alabama, Miami, and others. LSU was a school commonly mentioned with Hudson before Sloan departed for Kentucky. Nebraska is another school coming up with Hudson.
Hudson has taken visits to Ole Miss, Alabama, and Nebraska this fall. He visited Nebraska, Florida, and Ohio State last spring and summer.
