A day after entering the portal, Kentucky has reached out to Bryce Hamilton.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, the Wildcats have made contact on Friday night with Hamilton, a 6-foot-4 junior guard who told Jeff Goodman on Thursday that he was putting his name on the transfer list.

During 23 games as a Runnin’ Rebel this past season, the Pasadena, CA native averaged a team-high 18.0 points per game to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in 32.6 minutes. Hamilton shot 43.3 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from beyond the arc on 4.6 attempts per game, and 65.6 from the free-throw line this past season.

Hamilton has led UNLV in scoring each of the last two years, being named to the All-MWC Second-Team in 2020-21, but did post 69 assists compared to 60 turnovers. He is now the eighth player from the program to announce they are transferring since the season came to an end.
