Kentucky RB Jamarion Wilcox Facing Multiple Court Cases

Following a breakout second season at Kentucky, running back Jamarion Wilcox is in the middle of multiple legal battles.
A Lexington judge granted a temporary protective order requiring Wilcox to stay at least 500 feet away from an alleged sexual assault victim, stemming from an incident that occurred on Aug. 20.
According to The Courier Journal’s Ryan Black, court documents allege that Wilcox was visiting a woman’s roommate when he walked into the woman’s room while she was sleeping and got “into my bed, without my consent.” The woman said Wilcox was naked and tried to “forcibly” open her legs. After she asked Wilcox where her roommate was, the petition alleges the running back proceeded “to laugh” and attempted “to start touching me again.”
Eventually, the victim ran out of the room and found her roommate. They proceeded to call 911. When police arrived, it took “at least 20 minutes” before they escorted him from the premises.
A hearing on the case took place on Wednesday. Another is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 3. He has not been charged with a crime for the alleged assault.

Wilcox did not dress to play in the season opener against Toledo. Following the game, Mark Stoops shared that the running back was suspended for a violation of team rules. On Monday, Stoops said, “the status has not changed,” and he could not comment any further. He was listed as “questionable” on Wednesday’s availability report, meaning there is a 50% chance he could be available for the game against Ole Miss.
Two More Open Court Cases for Wilcox
In April, Wilcox was pulled over by a Kentucky State Trooper in Lancaster. According to the CJ, the citation states Wilcox “appeared to be racing a vehicle that passed me at a high rate of speed” while the trooper was driving 55 mph. The citation notes Wilcox’s speed “was unable to be measured by radar.” Wilcox was charged with driving 10 mph over the posted limit (65 mph in a 55-mph zone). He is set to appear in court in January.
He also got into more trouble this week. On Tuesday evening, the Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control cited Wilcox for four violations. He could not produce proof of rabies vaccinations or licenses for two dogs he owns, a “lab type” and a “Cane Corso” type. He’s scheduled to appear in court for the incident on Sept. 18.
Wilcox led the Wildcats in rushing last fall with 590 yards. Stoops challenged the talented young runner by bringing in a pair of backs from the transfer portal. Even though he did not appear on the opening week depth chart, all indications were that Wilcox had fallen to RB4, behind Seth McGowan, Dante Dowdell, and Jason Patterson.
