Well, that didn't last long. On Jan. 7 the University of Kentucky hired Jemal Singleton to coach the Wildcats' running backs and special teams. Sources told KSR on Feb. 8 that Singleton will be the next running backs coach and assistant head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Singleton most recently worked on the Cincinnati Bengals' coaching staff. A former player and coach at the Air Force Academy, he said shortly after he was hired that his return to the college ranks was long overdue. “I'm a college coach at heart," he said last month. "There's a part of coaching college football that really appeals to me.  (It’s) the recruiting process, the helping a young man develop not only as a football player but as a person, meeting families and those type of things. So deep down, that's always been something that I love and enjoy. Really, my opportunity go to the NFL, was to be able to become a better college coach." Singleton was set to earn $500,000 over the next two seasons in Lexington. He'll owe the school $100,000 for terminating his contract early. Let the search for a new running backs and special teams coach commence. https://twitter.com/BrentWainscott_/status/1358861431995777027?s=20
