Washington, won the most valuable player award at the inaugural Allen Iverson Roundball Classic this past Friday. The high school all-star game was hosted in Portsmouth, Virginia where Washington earned top honors. Washington, scored his game-high 37 points in Team Honor's 198-152 win over Team Loyalty. He was joined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who scored 21 points and earned MVP honors at the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic last week. In the Louisville event, he had a game-high 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists in his 19 minutes of play. Further, Quade Green scored 32 points. The no. 11 overall prospect in the 2017 class, Washington was a member of the 2016 USA Men's U18 National Team that won a gold medal over the summer. Washington's skills continue to improve as future Wildcats are nearing their move to campus. Kentucky's recruiting class is considered No. 1 in the country thus far, nothing new to Coach John Calipari.
