Kentucky Softball Begins 15-Game Homestand at John Cropp Stadium

The Kentucky Wildcats defeated Indiana earlier this week in non-conference play in Bloomington. Senior pitcher Lauren Cumbess pitched a full game and threw seven scoreless innings, while Junior catcher Griffin Joiner belted a three-run homerun in the fifth inning and had four RBI overall, defeating the Hoosiers on Tuesday 5-0. Lauren Cumbess allowed only 2 hits and recorded 5 strikeouts. Griffin Joiner has now extended her hitting streak to six, which is a team high and has seven homeruns on the season. Admission to all games at John Crop Stadium today and over the course of the weekend is free of charge.
