LOOK: Kentucky will wear traditional uniform combination in opener
Kentucky will not be going too deep in its uniform bag to open the season against Miami (Ohio). The Wildcats are keeping it simple with the first combination of the season.
On Friday afternoon, the team flashed off their Week 1 uniforms with super senior linebacker DeAndre Square serving as this week’s model.

To open up the 2021 season, Kentucky broke out the same uniform combination of blue helmet, blue jersey, and white pants. That worked out well in a 45-10 romp over ULM as Will Levis threw for 367 yards and four touchdowns in his Big Blue debut. On the other side, Brad White’s defense held the Warhawks to a very stingy 1.4 yards per play and recorded a season-high six sacks.
Kentucky will be looking for a similar result on Saturday night against Miami (Ohio). The RedHawks out of the Mid-American Conference will be wearing all white when they roll into Kroger Field.
We’ll get a very traditional jersey matchup on Saturday night. Let’s play some football.
