Kentucky unveils uniform combo for Texas game

Kentucky will rock the “icy whites” uniform combo for Saturday’s showdown with No. 3 Texas.
The Wildcats will bring the cold weather vibes with them to Austin: white helmets, white jerseys, white pants, and white cleats. The icy white look is appropriate considering the cold front that has swept through the Bluegrass this week, but let’s just hope the Wildcats don’t melt under the Texas heat. The high for Saturday’s game is expected to be 79 degrees with plenty of sunshine.
Kentucky has gone with the all-white look three times this season already. The first instance was the upset win on the road over an Ole Miss team that was ranked No. 6 in the country at the time. The next time also happened on the road against a high-level opponent, but the ‘Cats ultimately lost to No. 7 Tennessee by 10 points. The third came in an ugly 48-20 road loss to a Florida team currently sitting on a 5-5 record.

For those keeping track at home, that’s a 1-2 record with the icy white uniforms in 2024. Can the ‘Cats get to .500 by tomorrow night? They’ll have to in order to keep the program’s bowl streak alive.
Kentucky is currently a 20.5-point underdog to Texas, according to FanFuel, with the over/under set at 46.5. UK has just a 5.4 percent chance of taking down the Longhorns according to ESPN’s Matchup Predictor. Kickoff on Saturday afternoon is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST on ABC/ESPN+.
