Well, that stunk. After 20 minutes of really ugly basketball, Vanderbilt leads your No. 23 Kentucky Wildcats 34-30.

You may have guessed, but the story of the game so far is missed shots. Kentucky is only 11-34 (32.4%) from the field and Vandy isn’t much better, 12-33 (36.4%). Vanderbilt’s star center Liam Robbins went down early with a leg injury and has not returned, but the Dores stayed right in the game, closing the half on an 8-0 run. Quentin Millora-Brown, who is 0-2 in his four-year career from three-point range, hit a three to put the Dores up three at half. Of course.

Antonio Reeves only played nine minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, so hopefully, he can help the Cats get things going. He and CJ Fredrick lead the Cats in scoring with six points each. Oscar Tshiebwe has five points and nine rebounds. Kentucky only has one three-pointer so far, from CJ Fredrick, to Vanderbilt’s four.
