Kentucky’s road trip to Nashville did not go as we had hoped. Vanderbilt dog-walked the Cats today at FirstBank Stadium 45-17. The ‘Dores are a top 15 team still in the College Football Playoff hunt, and they flexed every bit of that muscle today against the Cats, who were sorely outmatched. Diego Pavia got plenty of highlights for his Heisman reel, even breaking Vanderbilt’s single-game passing record.

Vanderbilt was favored to win today, but Kentucky had some momentum rolling after three straight wins, two over SEC foes. Does today’s embarrassing loss erase that, or will the Cats rally for the Governor’s Cup? There’s still bowl eligibility — and the joy of beating the Cards — to play for, after all. The only good news today is that Cutter Boley’s neck injury doesn’t appear to be too bad. That would have been the ultimate nightmare result.

Ready or not, Nick Roush, Adam Luckett, and I are about to rapidly react to what just happened. Join us as we lament an embarrassing night and get ready to turn the page to beat the Cards.
