Kentucky VB advances to Elite Eight with 3-1 win over Missouri

Craig Skinner and the No. 3 seed Kentucky Wildcats have advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA DI Women’s Volleyball Tournament, defeating No. 7 seed Missouri 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 16-25, 25-13) in the Regional Semifinal in Pittsburgh.
The four-set victory pushes Kentucky to the Regional Final for the first time since it won the national championship in 2020.
Brooklyn DeLeye was brilliant for the Cats once again, leading the way with 22 kills while hitting .419 in the win to go with six digs, three aces and two blocks. Emma Grome added 50 assists, ten digs, three blocks, two kills and an ace while Megan Wilson and Brooke Bultema went for ten kills apiece. Molly Tuozzo added 11 digs while Eleanor Beavin finished with ten.

As a team, Kentucky hit .347 overall with 59 total kills and 42 digs while Missouri finished .241 overall with 48 kills and 41 digs.
UK will take on No. 1 seed Pittsburgh on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2 with a spot in the Final Four on the line.

The Cats started the day Sweet, now they’re Elite. Three more wins until they’re champs once again.
