We already had the kickoff time for Kentucky’s trip to Georgia, but today, we got the channel. The Cats vs. the No. 5 Bulldogs will get the ABC spotlight at noon ET on October 4, one of just four intraconference games in Week 6.

The Cats will be coming off their first road game of the season at South Carolina, a 7:45 p.m. kickoff under the lights at Williams-Brice Stadium. The Bulldogs will have just hosted No. 17 Alabama, also a night game. Georgia is also coming off a bye this week, most recently winning an overtime thriller at Tennessee 44-41 on Sept. 13. The Bulldogs started the season with two non-conference games, beating Marshall 45-7 and Austin Peay 28-6.

Kentucky hasn’t beaten Georgia since 2009, a 34-27 victory between the hedges at Sanford Stadium. The Cats came close last year, letting the Bulldogs escape Lexington with a 13-12 victory. Here’s hoping this one is also close, albeit with a more favorable result.
