Kentucky vs. Louisville and other tip times, TV info announced

Believe it or not, the 2023-24 Kentucky Basketball season unofficially tips off a week from tomorrow with Big Blue Madness. The folks at the Joe Craft Center are celebrating by sharing some new tip times and TV information for a handful of games, including one the BBN certainly has circled on the calendar. Kentucky vs. Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center on December 21 will tip off at 6 p.m. ET and air on ESPN. Put your Ls down and make plans accordingly.

The good news: we also got tip times and TV info for Kentucky’s exhibitions vs. Georgetown College and Kentucky State, the Texas A&M-Commerce game, and the Stonehill game. The bad news: they all will stream on SEC Network+/ESPN+, aka “the computer.” I can hear Freddie Maggard groaning now.

If you’re new to this, SEC Network+ and ESPN+ are only accessible through the ESPN app. That means you won’t be able to watch the game on traditional TV; you’ll only be able to see it on smartphones, tablets, TV-connected devices (Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, SmartTV, etc.), or via espn.com/watch. Every SEC school is assigned SECN+ and ESPN+ games each season by the conference and its television partners. If you’re a glass-half-full person, at least Kentucky’s getting its computer games over with early, right?
