Kentucky vs. Louisville Game Time, TV Info Announced

As is tradition, the Governor’s Cup will take place at high noon. Game times for November 29 were just released, and Kentucky vs. Louisville will kick off at 12 p.m. ET at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. It will air on ACC Network.
This game could have huge stakes for the Cats, who are one win away from bowl eligibility. Kentucky is a 9.5-point underdog at Vanderbilt this weekend (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). Should the Cats fall to the ‘Dores on Diego Pavia’s Senior Day, that leaves the Louisville game as the only opportunity to reach six wins. What more can you ask for from the Governor’s Cup, the first game in the series with Vince Marrow on the other sideline?
The Cards have already secured bowl eligibility, at 7-3, but have lost back-to-back games in heartbreaking fashion. On Nov. 8, Cal upset Louisville in overtime 29-26, dashing the Cards’ College Football Playoff dreams. A week later, Clemson overcame Louisville’s goal-line stand and a botched punt snap to win 20-19. Turnovers and penalties doomed the Cards vs. the Tigers, with quarterback Miller Moss telling reporters afterward that the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were a “culture thing” that needs to be addressed during the offseason. Louisville plays at SMU this weekend and is a 3.5-point underdog, so there’s a good chance that the Cards will be riding a three-game losing streak into the rivalry game.

Louisville snapped a five-game losing streak in the Governor’s Cup last year with a 41-14 win at Kroger Field. Earlier this season, this game seemed like it might follow a similar script; however, the Cats are surging and the Cards are flailing. Louisville will be the favorite, but with bowl eligibility potentially on the line, I can’t wait to see what Kentucky will do. The Cats have won the last four at Cardinal Stadium, after all.
