Kentucky vs. LSU Super Regional will start Saturday in Baton Rouge
Clear your schedules for Saturday afternoon, BBN. Game times were just released for the Super Regionals and Game 1 of No. 12 Kentucky vs. No. 5 LSU in Baton Rouge will start at 3 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on ESPN. Game 2 will take place Sunday and Game 3 (if necessary) on Monday. Start times and TV designations are TBD.

You know how Kentucky got to the Super Regional. LSU had an easier path, winning all three of its games, beating Tulane (7-2) and Oregon State (6-5, 13-7). The No. 5-ranked Tigers (46-15) had 19 hits yesterday vs. the Beavers, including four home runs, to win 13-7 and advance to their 16th Super Regional. LSU won its series vs. Kentucky earlier this year 2-1 in Baton Rouge, with the Cats taking the second game 13-10.
Last night, Kentucky head coach Nick Mingione reflected on the regular season series vs. LSU and the environment the Cats will face at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

“Great team, great program. I know their head coach well. We’re good friends. He’s one of the premier coaches in the country.
“I think anytime that you can go somewhere that you’ve already been, that definitely helps. And I told them, I don’t know how to prepare you to have 13,000 people go against you. But we’ve been there. They have great fans. They’re great people. And it will definitely be a different environment now. It’s a really good one, but it will go up another level. But the fact that our guys have experienced that definitely helps.”
