It’s going to be a party next Saturday at Kroger Field. Mark Stoops’ Kentucky football team will open SEC play at home Oct. 8 against South Carolina. UK officials announced the 7:30 pm SEC Network kickoff is officially SOLD OUT.

Shane Beamer will try to become the first Gamecock coach since Steve Spurrier to beat Kentucky on the road. Mark Stoops has never lost at home to South Carolina. The Gamecocks’ last win in Lexington was in 2012, now losers in five of their last six games on the road against UK.

If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet to watch the Wildcats take on South Carolina, you’re not completely out of luck. There are still a limited number of student tickets available to be claimed and purchased. For those who don’t have a student ID, you can go through TicketMaster’s resale market to purchase verified tickets for Kentucky vs. South Carolina.

See you next Saturday at Kroger Field.
