Kentucky WBB ascends four spots in latest AP Poll after beating Purdue and Louisville
Women’s college basketball is the gift that keeps on giving. The big upset start the week was St. John’s over No. 18 Oklahoma State, but things only got crazier as Davidson pushed No. 7 Baylor down to the wire and Rhode Island went on the road and beat No. 16 NC State. Kentucky, however, took care of business, beating Purdue and No. 21 Louisville by double digits.
Following the two power conference wins, Kentucky now sits at No. 16 in the AP Poll, ascending four spots from last week’s release when they came in at No. 20.
Kentucky plays two games this week down in the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout, the first of which coming against No. 7 Maryland on Wednesday. That is certainly Kentucky’s toughest game of non-conference play remaining. The Cats also take on Morgan State on Friday.
