Kentucky WBB receives SEC Tournament rings ahead of Big Blue Madness
Members of the Kentucky women’s basketball team will be wearing some new jewelry to Big Blue Madness. Ahead of tonight’s showcase at Rupp Arena, some of Kyra Elzy’s Cats were surprised with SEC Tournament rings commemorating last season’s title.
Kentucky won just the program’s second SEC Tournament Title in Kyra Elzy’s second season as the Wildcats’ head coach. The Wildcats shocked the world of women’s basketball when Dre’Unna Edwards sunk a three in the final five seconds to defeat South Carolina 64-62 in the SEC Tournament Championship Game.
There are only five holdovers from last year’s team. You’ll get to meet the six newcomers tonight at Big Blue Madness. All of the action begins at 7 pm EST on the SEC Network.
