Kentucky WBB slides up three spots in latest AP Top 25

We had a pretty crazy week of women’s college basketball. West Virginia pulled off a pretty big upset with Duke despite their entire bench being ejected for the second half. A D-III team beat and ACC team. Notre Dame lost to Michigan by 39 points. A lot of craziness happened, but fortunately for Kentucky, they weren’t necessarily a part of it.
After getting convincing wins over USC Upstate and Marshall, Kentucky is now the No. 20 team in the country. They rose three spots after coming in at No. 23 in last week’s poll.
Kentucky will take on Purdue at home and No. 21 Louisville on the road by the time next week’s poll comes out. If they can go 2-0 during that stretch and get to 7-0 on the season, the Cats will almost certainly be knocking on the door of being a top 15 team.
