Kentucky Weekend Recruiting Roundup: 7/31-8/2

Marquis Teague's recruitment may have ended a couple of months ago but that doesn't mean rumors have ended about him. The latest rumor had the Kentucky bound point guard transfering to prep school for his senior year. Teague, the top point guard in the class of 2011, currently attends Pike High School in Indiana. His father cleared up that speculation when he noted that Marquis would remain at Pike for his senior season. Perry Ellis has been playing excellent basketball recently and the Wildcats staff have noticed. Assistants from the school have been to the majority of Perry's game evaluating his growth along with Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Stanford and more. Along with that, Perry is considering being a one and done player once he gets to college. With Coach Cal's recent history of big time one and done's, will this be a major factor in the Kansas native's recruitment? Andre Drummond is the top prospect in the class of 2012 and until now he has never discussed his recruitment. He will make a list soon, however. The list will compile all of the schools that he is interested in. As August has started, this movement could happen just about any day. Kentucky is thought to be in the mix but nothing is set in stone yet as some still consider UConn or North Carolina the frontrunner for the Connecticut native. Kentucky is now involved with another point guard. This one is from Houston and his name is LJ Rose. Rose is one of the top players in the class of 2012. LJ will attend Midnight Madness in Lexington during the fall. With an offer from the Wildcats, he has a list compiled of Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Villanova, Georgetown, UConn, Notre Dame, along with most of the Big 12. Lastly, here's an interesting youtube video from Daniel Poneman. In the video, Anthony Davis is going after a loose ball and goes out of bounds. With plenty of college coaches around, one coach is noticed front row for Davis' game. Watch this video to find out just who that coach was. According to reports, Anthony Davis will take an unofficial visit to DePaul today. Follow Alex Kline on Twitter & Check out his new site.
