Isaiah Austin, one of the top 2012 prospects, is on the verge of committing. The 7-footer from Texas announced on Saturday night that he would be making a public statement on his college decision soon. The announcement will come on Monday night during a game at Adidas Nation where Isaiah will announce his decision at halftime. It can be seen on CBS College Sports Network. The rising junior has his options and Kentucky is one of them as the Cats have offered. He is down to Baylor, Kentucky, UConn, Arizona, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. As most speculate that Baylor is the favorite to land him, there is a fair amount of evidence that shows us why this may be the case. Austin recently visited Baylor and has visited the school a fair amount of times now. He is from Texas and wants to stay close to home. Baylor, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are really the only options for that. Who will it be? We will find out tonight. While one five-star prospect makes his decision tonight, another one is still trying to figure out his. As Anthony Davis walked off the court in the Nike Global Challenge, reporters asked him when he was committing. Davis stated the usual two to three weeks. As for the shocking news, Anthony said that he has not decided on a school yet. This was contrary to his father, Anthony Sr., saying that he had already decided. Could the Chicago Sun-Times' article stating that Kentucky was the school he selected turned him off from the Cats? Who knows at this point. With a decision coming soon, we will soon know where Anthony Davis will land. On the contrary, the word "love" is being thrown around to describe Anthony Davis' visit to Kentucky. Trevor Lacey, a shooting guard from Alabama, is very interested in Kentucky. A visit could be on the horizon soon as the top thrity player is very interested in coming to Lexington. While they have been in the mix as his favorite school, Trevor is down to Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee and Memphis. With no plans of deciding soon, visits could be on the way. Ryan Boatright, a 5-foot-10 guard from Illinois, has not been offered yet by Kentucky but is hearing from them. With offers from UTEP, Miami, West Virginia, Iowa, Minnesota, DePaul, Baylor and Providence; he is also hearing from Tennessee, Wake Forest and Big Blue Nation.
