The Kentucky football home schedule will come to an end this Saturday when the Wildcats host No. 8 Alabama at Kroger Field. The Wildcats are wearing something special for the occasion.

Friday afternoon the school used Deone Walker to model a new gray uniform. The alternate light gray look was popular early in the Mark Stops era. Over the last five years or so the alternate shifted to a darker gray that was called “anthracite,” a salute to the state’s coal miners.

According to UK Athletics, this will be the eleventh time the team was worn all-gray uniforms in the Mark Stoops era. The Cats are 6-4 in the previous ten games in the alternate uniform. What do you think of the new look?

Despite the gray uniform selection, the University of Kentucky is asking fans to wear blue to Kroger Field. The school wants a blue wave to knock out the Crimson Tide. Kickoff is at noon on ESPN.
