Kentucky's opponents have lost only 2 games all season

Let me start off by stating something very important: THIS IS NOT ME SAYING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR UK FOOTBALL TO HAVE 1 WIN SO FAR. There. I had to get that off my chest. With that said, an interesting stat has been floating around this weekend. Kentucky's football team has played a total of 6 teams so far this season. We knew going into the season that this year's schedule wasn't going to provide an easy road, but we did manage to avoid Alabama and LSU in the same year, when both entered the seasons as heavy favorites to contend for the national championship. Of the six teams Kentucky has faced this season, Louisville, Kent State, Western Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina and Mississippi State...the only losses on the season for any of those teams is a loss to #1 ranked Alabama by Western Kentucky and a loss to Kentucky by Ken State. The season is still young, and some of it has to do with the quality of teams Kentucky's opponents have played against. The stat is still interesting though. Louisville sits at 5-0 Kent State sits at 4-1 Western Kentucky sits at 4-1 Florida sits at 5-0 South Carolina sits at 5-0 Mississippi State sits at 5-0 That's a combined 28-2 record for Kentucky's opponents. Again, this is by no means a justification for Kentucky's 1-5 record, rather a glance at an interesting statistic on Kentucky's opponents. The statistic will change drastically when Kentucky faces Arkansas in their next game. Arkansas started the season off slow, but gained a bit of momentum with a win over Auburn last night.
