Khamari Anderson will enroll at the University of Kentucky later this week. Before moving to Lexington, the talented tight end is spending his time competing with the best high school seniors at the Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando, Fl.

The prep showcase is one of just a few opportunities the best high school football players in the country get to compete against one another in full pads. Anderson, a late addition to the Wildcats’ 2023 recruiting class, has been turning heads in Orlando. He was one of the most eye-opening performers during Friday’s practice, according to On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power.

“Khamari Anderson was among the more pleasant surprises on Friday night. The Detroit native has good size and is physically developed. Anderson was fluid in his routes, showing wiggle and ability to get in and out of his breaks during routes-on-air. He also looked to be a natural catcher of the football with strong hands. He later flashed some high-point and tracking ability during the team period.”

Khamari Anderson was a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, ranked as the nation’s No. 25 tight end according to the On3 Consensus. A 6-foot-4, 230-pound athlete from Detroit’s Cass Tech High school, the home of Deone Walker and DeAndre Square, Vince Marrow made a late push to sign the former Cincinnati commit.

“I’m glad I found a place for me,” Khamari Anderson told 247’s Allen Trieu. “It was kind of hectic because I had already planned on leaving for college early. So I was like a few weeks away from leaving, I was 100-percent committed to Cincinnati. Then Coach Fickell left. I didn’t really commit to Cincinnati for Coach Fickell but he was a big part of it and it just made things rough when he left but I found a place for me. It was God’s plan.”

Khamari Anderson is one of seven high school signees that will enroll next week to compete in spring practice. He’ll play his final prep football game in the Under Armour All-American Game at Camping World Stadium Jan. 3 at 5 pm on ESPN.
