Kentucky transfer Kiyaunta Goodwin will visit Florida

The first transfer portal window of the offseason closed on Wednesday as most college programs are getting ready for signing day on Feb. 1. However, unsigned players in the portal can still be recruited. Former top-100 recruit Kiyaunta Goodwin is one of those players.
The ballyhooed high school prospect had a very popular recruitment coming out of Charlestown (Ind.) High where Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Texas A&M were all heavily involved. In the end, Kentucky was able to beat out the Spartans.
However, Goodwin never made an impact in his first season in Lexington playing only on special teams. The blue-chip prospect would enter the transfer portal on Dec. 16. However, things have been quiet since that occurred.
Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports is reporting that Goodwin will visit Florida this weekend. Could an SEC transfer be occurring for the offensive tackle?

Wiltfong reports that a decision with Florida would have to be made this weekend for Goodwin because the latest he could get enrolled in school would be early next week. The top competition at the moment appears to be Louisville as Goodwin just made a visit to see Jeff Brohm’s program with the rest of Aspirations Gym.
There is also a chance that a return to Kentucky could be on the table. Sources tell 247 Sports that Goodwin is potentially open to that.
Kiyaunta Goodwin is having another recruitment that is being stretched to the very end. The upcoming sophomore could have his new destination very soon.
