KSR Road Trip: Kentucky basketball had one of its darkest days in Nashville vs Gonzaga

It’s dark times right now surrounding the Kentucky men’s basketball program.

The Wildcats fell to 0-4 on the season against ranked opponents following Friday’s 35-point loss to No. 11 Gonzaga. Kentucky opened the game by not scoring a field goal for the first nine minutes. The ‘Cats shot just 26.7 percent from the floor while Gonzaga finished with a 57 percent shooting mark. Graham Ike dropped 28 points and 10 rebounds on UK.

Nashville was painted with nothing but blue and white, but fans were anything but pleased with the product they saw on the floor. The boo birds came out early and often. From strictly an effort standpoint, it was about as uninspiring a performance that you’ll ever see out of Kentucky. It doesn’t seem like there is an easy solution to fix the mess Mark Pope currently finds himself in, either.

But KSR’s Steven Peake still had a job to do, even if he would have rather jumped off the top of Bridgestone Arena than watch the second half with his own two eyes. Accompanied by Jack Pilgrim (with guest appearances from Tyler Thompson and Drew Franklin), they made the drive to Nashville to see the latest disaster in person.

Dive into Steven’s latest Road Trip video below to see the game through their lens — it’s worth the watch.
