KSR Roadtrip: Kentucky could learn from Vanderbilt's game day experience

There was nothing redeemable about Kentucky‘s on-field performance at Vanderbilt, losing by a million in Nashville in a game that was never close. Cutter Boley made history with some plays down the stretch, but it was like the Chris Paul hits a huge three to cut the lead down to 42 meme. It was just that kind of day for the Wildcats.

That didn’t make the trip a total waste for the KSR crew, though, with Nick Roush, Adam Luckett and Steven Peake making the drive down to join Nashvillian Tyler Thompson on Diego Pavia Day. The Commodores were, unfortunately, impressive — and we’re talking in all of the ways that didn’t have anything to do with football.

It helps to have a sold-out crowd for Senior Night, obviously, but Vandy did its job making the atmosphere a 10/10 to bring the best out of those fans in the stands. Theo Vonn was only a fraction of the entertainment value. After renovations, FirstBank Stadium was rocking and only ramped up as it got darker outside and the score grew. It was actually a party, even if we claim to have those at Kroger Field between Limp Bizkit and Stephen Foster on loop. It was the latest example of what’s possible in the new-world SEC (and how far Kentucky needs to go, as Tyler Thompson put it).

Peake got all of the footage from the blowout — including the extended handshake between Mark Stoops and Clark Lea. Potential beef?

Plenty to see, none of it good for the Wildcats. Tune in below:
