SATURDAY

No. 2 Villanova vs. No. 5 Houston | 6:09 p.m. | TBS

Don’t let the American Conference label fool you; Houston is the best team remaining in the bracket and the betting favorite to win the national championship out. With that in mind, I expect the Cougars to end Villanova’s run with its top-10 defense to advance Kelvin Sampson to the Final Four for the second year in a row, one of the more impressive rebuilds considering the injuries and roster turnover in Houston.

No. 2 Duke vs. No. 4 Arkansas | 8:49 p.m. ET | TBS

My heart is with the Southeastern Conference, my money is on Coach K following his destiny to the Final Four.

The Bet: Duke -4 (-110)

SUNDAY

No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 10 Miami (FL) | 2:20 p.m. ET | CBS

Miami is in the Elite Eight because of its defense, which allowed only 61 points per game in wins over USC, Auburn, and Iowa State. The Hurricanes run into one of the best offenses in the country in Kansas, but we still like Miami to keep up the pressure and keep this one beneath the 147 point total.

The Bet: Under 147 (-110)

No. 8 North Carolina vs. No. 15 Saint Peter’s | 5:00 p.m. ET | CBS

Like the rest of America, I’m rooting for the Peacocks to reach the Final Four. I think the magic continues a little longer… at least for another half.
