Basketball shoes used to be whatever the coach picked.  There are still "team shoes" (Kentucky has KD 8's and LeBron 13 PE's) but Cal's Cats have have been more expressive with their shoe choice in previous years.  This year's team has more heat on their feet than anything we've seen before. (All images via UK Athletics) The OVO Jordan Retro X Reminiscent to Anthony Davis' blue/grey Retro X's, this white and grey color scheme was made for Drake, making it an appropriate fit for the Kentucky Wildcats.  Jamal Murray has worn them multiple times, and Alex Poythress laced them up against UCLA. composite_14508833757295   The Air Jordan Gamma Blue Retro XI These shoes might not be made for Drake, but these shoes are a special part of UK history.  These are the shoes Aaron Harrison wore during the improbable run to the 2013 Final Four.  Tyler Ulis laced them up against EKU (I hope they aren't the same shoes, I'm sure those things don't smell very well). ulis black 11s The Air Jordan Cool Grey Retro XI It's debatable whether Tyler Ulis or Isaiah Briscoe has the best sneakers on the team.  I'm a little more impartial to Briscoe because I like how he sticks with light colors and shades of grey on his sneaks.  He rocked this pair of XI's in L.A. 2coolgray11s The Air Jordan Retro VII Sweater  Tyler Ulis brought out the 90's classic that was based on a commercial MJ did with McDonald's.  Ulis saved them for L.A., but after that performance, who knows if we'll ever see them again. 2airjordanretro7sweater Isaiah Briscoe's Kobe 3's  brisckobe3 Yeah, they're a shade of Carolina Blue, but they don't look as bad in live action.  Besides, you have to appreciate it when a guy has shoes on that were released three years ago. 2briscoekobe3 The Air Jordan Aqua Retro VII Tyler Ulis stuck with the funky mid-90's hits by rocking the VII's in Brooklyn this past weekend.  Maybe he should change up the shoes a little when they play at neutral sites? 2aquaretro8sulis   The LeBron 7  Alex Poythress had the LeBron 7's on in Brooklyn.  Also pictured are Marcus Lee's Nike Hyperrev's. poylebron7ps leehyperrev
