LIVE BLOG: No. 23 Kentucky vs. Marshall

Kentucky’s first win on the road was a fun one. So, let’s make it another fun one, shall we? KSR’s LIVE BLOG will bring you all the sights and sounds from the Cam Henderson Center as the Cats take on the USC Upstate Spartans on the road (1 p.m. ET).
Marshall, led by former Transy head coach Juli Fulks, is currently 2-1 on the year, having only lost to a pretty good Indiana team by six on the road. This isn’t your typical tune-up game against a mid-major opponent. This one could get close, especially with the Cats being in enemy territory.
The game will stream on ESPN+, so if you’re unable to watch, we’ve got you covered. Refresh the feed below for updates and our takes on the game from Huntington. You can also join the conversation on the KSBoard Game Thread.

Final: 76-44 Kentucky
11/15/2025 02:05:54 PMCredit where it’s due: Juli Fulks and Marshall are GOOD. Gonna be exciting to watch them in the Sun Belt. Also gotta give credit to Clara Strack and Jordan Obi for staying poised and being productive throughout. Purdue, you’re next.

6:35 4Q: 56-32 Kentucky
11/15/2025 01:49:27 PMJust two Cats in double-digits today: Jordan Obi (15) and Clara Strack (13). Marshall is tough defensively, but the offense hasn’t been up to standard.
End 3Q: 52-27 Kentucky
11/15/2025 01:36:03 PMMarshall is shooting just 9-37 (34%) from the field with only two total assists on the afternoon. Kentucky’s defense continues to be dominant.
3:47 3Q: 48-24 Kentucky
11/15/2025 01:24:34 PMAn underrated stat: Kentucky has 17 offensive rebounds to Marshall’s four. That was a big point of emphasis for improvement following the last outing.
7:45 3Q: 46-18 Kentucky
11/15/2025 01:14:35 PMKentucky opens the second half on an 8-0 run and Juli Fulks is forced to burn a timeout. Shout out to Amelia Hassett, who is now 3-5 from three on the day.
Half: 36-17 Kentucky
11/15/2025 12:51:54 PMThis has been a struggle, but Kentucky has started to pull away just a bit. Gotta be proud of this team’s fight through some early adversity. It ain’t over though.

2:31 2Q: 28-14 Kentucky
11/15/2025 12:45:45 PM
Amelia Hassett has been so damn good lately. She hits a huge three to force a Marshall timeout.
4:38 2Q: 20-12 Kentucky
11/15/2025 12:38:09 PMCats are shooting just 7-25 (28%) from the field. I think this team needs a clear bucket-getter in times of desperation. Curious to see who will step up.
Clara Strack has returned
11/15/2025 12:26:04 PMClara Strack is back in the game to begin the second quarter. Absolute gamer.
End 1Q: 9-6 Kentucky
11/15/2025 12:23:10 PMEveryone looks a bit rattled here to start the game, especially with Clara Strack getting hurt. Defense is keeping the Cats ahead in this one.
Clara Strack is hurt
11/15/2025 12:18:12 PMClara Strack goes down holding her lower leg, then jogs gingerly back to the bench. Looks to be in quite some pain. She is now headed back to the locker room.
4:41 1Q: 5-1 Kentucky
11/15/2025 12:13:43 PMWe’ve got a rock fight early here in Huntington. Both teams are a combined 1-17 from the field thus far.
Blue got in
11/15/2025 11:56:48 AMFrom what I’m told, this is a pretty good crowd for Marshall standards. Probably because there’s a good amount of blue in the building.
Kentucky’s starting five
11/15/2025 11:38:38 AMNew game, same starting lineup for Kenny Brooks. Kentucky’s starters are Tonie Morgan, Jordan Obi, Amelia Hassett, Teonni Key and Clara Strack yet again.
Back in black
11/15/2025 11:36:49 AMKentucky is rocking their black alternate uniforms for the Marshall game. Georgia Amoore scored 43 points wearing these unis at Oklahoma last season (Kentucky also lost to North Carolina by 20 in these, but we’ll ignore that).
Hello from the Cam Henderson Center!
11/15/2025 11:02:23 AMKentucky and Marshall tip off in just under an hour here in Huntington, West Virginia. Media food has been great (wings and Mountain Dew!), so let’s hope the game is just as good. Starting lineup to come momentarily. Go Cats as always.
