I remember the things my dad used to say to me when I was up against impossible odds: "If at first you don't succeed, stop trying because you're making a dang fool of yourself in front of everyone. Seriously. Stop. They don't forget things like this. And what the heck are you doing in the bathroom day and night? Why don't you get out and give someone else a chance?"
So it's no surprise that I'm naturally pessimistic, and a little leery about this game. I might be in the minority, though, after being on Twitter all day has shown a surprising level of hope for the matchup with the Gamecocks.
