Logan Stenberg Ready to Contribute

logan-stenberg-p1 I’ve been known to think outside the box on National Signing Day by trusting my own eyes instead of distant recruiting services. One such moment was when I said that running back Damien Harris (from Berea and signed with Alabama) and offensive lineman Logan Stenberg (from Alabama but signed with Kentucky) was an even trade. I’m standing by that statement as they both starred in their respective team’s spring game and are both currently running with the twos. Both Harris and Stenberg have bright futures ahead. Stenberg came to Lexington via Madison, Alabama where he attended James Clemens High School. An early UK commitment, he finished the recruiting cycle as a three star but finished his high school career strong by making a statement and playing at a high level at the Alabama-Mississippi All Star Game. The 6’6, 320 redshirt freshman changed positions by kicking inside from tackle to guard. If you think back, the second team offensive line was the best unit of this year’s spring game as it at times moved the football at will against the first team defense. That interior group was comprised of guards Stenberg and George Asafo-Adjei along with center Bunchy Stallings. On Friday I caught up with Stenberg. With four years of eligibility remaining and possessing all necessary tools to be a quality starting SEC OL, look for Stenberg to have an impactful career in Lexington.
