Kentucky was set to host a highly ranked wide receiver over the weekend. After Vince Marrow left to take the Louisville general manager job, that visit is no longer set to happen.

London Smith, a three-star wide receiver committed to Baylor, was set to visit Kentucky during the weekend of June 13. He announced on Tuesday that the visit will no longer take place.

Smith told KSR+ that he is planning to reschedule the visit. No new date has been set yet.

Smith is the No. 298 overall prospect and No. 50 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 33 player in Texas.

Kentucky’s 2026 Recruiting Class

Kentucky is off to a very slow start in the 2026 recruiting class. The departure of Vince Marrow likely doesn’t help with that.

UK has the nation’s No. 74-ranked recruiting class in 2026 with a total of three commits. None of Kentucky’s commits have decommitted since Vince Marrow’s departure and the Cats have even landed a commitment since then.

Prince Jean, a 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver from Valdosta (Valdosta, GA), announced his commitment to Kentucky on Monday over the likes of Mississippi State, Kansas State, Virginia, and Georgia. Kentucky also has commitments from Texas wide receiver Davis McCray and in-state offensive tackle Jarvis Strickland.
