LOOK: Georgia Amoore comes home and makes an appearance at Big Blue Madness

Former Kentucky point guard and current Washington Mystic Georgia Amoore is back in Lexington for Big Blue Madness!
After Kenny Brooks told KSR that the team had a surprise in place for Big Blue Madness on Episode 39 of The Memorial Memo, we got to see what he meant Saturday night. Thanks to the WNBA offseason’s timing with Madness, the 2025 SEC Newcomer of the Year was able to make it for UK’s basketball pep rally.
At Kentucky, Amoore averaged 19.6 points, 6.9 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game. She was also named First Team All-SEC as she became Kentucky’s all-time single-season assists leader (213). Against Oklahoma on February 2nd, she tied the program record for points in a game (43), tying Rhyne Howard and Jennifer O’Neill. Amoore also became the third player in the history of women’s college basketball to record 2,300 career points and 800 career assists, joining the likes of Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu.

She’s on the SEC Network+ broadcast alongside Noah Frary and Ravi Moss as we speak — crushing it, of course. Kenny Brooks also joined the show to talk ball with his top WNBA draft selection.

Pretty, pretty cool to see one of the all-time greats back to support the program moving forward.
