LOOK: March Madness "College Road Trip" makes first stop with Kentucky WBB

The NCAA March Madness Women’s Basketball crew is traveling around the country ahead of the 2022-23 season to various big-name programs. They’re granted an inside look at these schools to shoot videos, snap some pictures, and talk with the players and coaching staff. It’s an easy and fun way to show off the women’s college basketball atmosphere.
Where did they decide to stop first? Good ole Lexington, Kentucky.
Earlier this week, basketball sideline reporter Autumn Johnson was provided with an extensive tour of the Kentucky women’s basketball facilities and shown around the University of Kentucky campus. Everything she experienced was filmed and posted to the March Madness WBB Twitter account for our viewing pleasure as part of their preseason “College Road Trip” tour.

Johnson sat down and spoke with head coach Kyra Elzy (who was gifted a pretty cool “Elzy” jacket), took a facility tour with transfer guard Eniya Russell, and talked with freshman Cassidy Rowe about her early college experience. Fifth-year senior Blair Green was also Mic’d Up during a practice session (hopefully she got her Starbucks).
Below are all of the videos and pictures posted by the March Madness WBB account from their brief time in Lexington. Former head coach Matthew Mitchell even popped by the facility. At the very bottom of the article is exclusive “Behind the Scenes” footage that you’ll definitely want to watch.
