The Point God is back on Kentucky’s campus. John Calipari just posted a picture with former Cat Tyler Ulis, who is in Lexington working out at the Joe Craft Center as he recovers from an injury.

“Just got off the floor from our first on-court work of the season and the first person I see is Tyler Ulis! Tyler is back in town and rehabbing. I can’t wait to see him back out there doing what he loves. I promised him I would be front row, feet on the wood when he starts playing again. It won’t be long! #LaFamilia”

Ulis last played for the Stockton Kings in the G League, averaging 6.8 points and 3.6 assists in the 2019-20 season. Before that, he was with the Windy City Bulls after signing a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, but was waived after undergoing a left hip arthroscopy. Ulis was selected No. 34 by the Phoenix Suns in the 2016 NBA Draft after a stellar two-year career at Kentucky, which included consensus First Team All-American honors, the SEC Player of the Year Award, and the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award.

Georgia transfer Sahvir Wheeler is frequently compared to Ulis, even by John Calipari. Here’s hoping the two talk a little shop this summer.

Here are some Tyler Ulis highlights, simply because I want to watch them.
