Louisville Native Kaleb Glenn Suffers Season-Ending Injury

The college basketball season feels like an eternity away. The Kentucky Wildcats just convened for summer practices for the first time this week, and not everyone is there yet. Even in the early days of summer basketball, unfortunately, no one is immune from injury.

On3’s Joe Tipton reports Kaleb Glenn suffered a knee injury. The torn patellar tendon will sideline Glenn for the entire 2025-26 season. He’s expected to use a redshirt to preserve a year of eligibility at Michigan State.

The 6-foot-6 forward was a star for three years Louisville Male High School. During his junior year, he averaged 21.6 points and 12.6 rebounds per game while shooting 36% from three-point land. The Seventh Region Player of the Year hit a game-winning jumper in triple-overtime of the Regional Championship to send the Dogs to the Sweet 16.

He transferred to La Lumiere for his final year of prep basketball before returning home to play for Kenny Payne at Louisville. Like most who played for Payne, things didn’t go too well on Floyd Street. Nevertheless, he showed plenty of promise, but did not stick around to play for Pat Kelsey.

Glenn spent the 2024-25 season playing for Florida Atlantic. He was the best player for the Owls. He averaged a team-high 12.6 points per game while shooting 53.1% from the floor and 41% from three. The small forward also grabbed 4.8 rebounds per game.

The injury bug is unforgiving. Glenn finally seemed to find his footing in his college basketball career. The Louisville native will have to wait another year to test his salt in the Big Ten.
