On Sunday, USA followed up an 81-point win over Korea in the FIBA U19 World Cup by beating Hungary by 30 in a 79-49 victory for the red, white and blue.

The game against Korea got out of hand almost immediately, but USA struggled to knock down shots at an efficient clip against Hungary. However, despite just shooting 30/70 (42.9%) from the field, USA handled business and a loss was never in consideration.

Kate Harpring, the top-ranked point guard in the 2026 class, led the team with 15 points as four others got into double figures.

Maddyn Greenway got into foul trouble early, but she still managed to provide some production despite that. In just 11 minutes of action, the five-star Kentucky commit recorded four assists and came away with a steal. She also had two points in the win.

Class of 2028 target Sydney Douglas didn’t get too much action against Hungary, just recording a steal in two minutes.

In their next game, USA will face Israel at 8:30 a.m. ET on July 15th as they chase their fourth consecutive gold medal in the event. Israel has never competed in this event before this year, and unfortunately for them, their run may come to an end against Greenway and USA.
