Maddyn Greenway looking to 'bring success to Kentucky' alongside fellow 2026 commit Savvy Swords

Maddyn Greenway is no longer Kentucky’s lone commitment in the 2026 class. On Saturday, five-star wing Savvy Swords announced her commitment to the Cats. Both are ranked as top 10 prospects in On3’s 2026 recruiting rankings.

As far as KSR’s research goes (which consisted of looking through the On3 and ESPN/HoopGurlz databases), Greenway (No. 10) and Swords (No. 9) become the first pair of top 10 recruits from the same class to commit to Kentucky.

Greenway, who committed to Kentucky back in November, told KSR what it means to her to be able to team up with Swords in Lexington.

“It means everything (to play with Savvy),” the 5-foot-8 guard said. “I am so excited to play with her. She is a fantastic player, and I know together we will bring success to Kentucky!”

When Greenway originally committed to Kentucky, she told KSR that she’s “just really excited to be there. Coach [Kenny] Brooks is building something special down there, and I just can’t wait to be a part of it.”

She was right when she said that Brooks was building something special. Now, he’s bringing in two top 10 recruits in the 2026 class, with potentially more to come.
