The KSR gang did the radio show from the Oaks this morning, but the real racing action won't get started until later this afternoon. When it does, one UK coach will definitely be cheering. Mark Stoops is a part owner of the horse Street Band, whose odds are currently set at 25-1. The morning line odds were originally 15-1. Coach Stoops may be a part owner, but for once, he's not the one making the big decisions. Those choices are likely left to owners Cindy and Larry Jones and Ray Francis (Larry Jones also serves as the trainer), as well as jockey Sophie Doyle. The three-year-old filly was bred right here in Kentucky, and her coloring is described as chestnut. In 2019, Street Band has appeared in three races and won two of them, bringing in a total of $273,800 in earnings. She'll race as No. 12 in today's Oaks. Post time for the Oaks is set for 6:12 p.m. and can be seen on the NBC Sports Network. Go Street Band!
